Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Pulse and Purpose (“Pulse and Purpose,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit our website at pulseandpurpose.net (the “Site”) and, in the future, when you use any of our products, services, or applications (collectively, the “Services”).
Pulse and Purpose is a registered DBA (“Doing Business As”) of APRIL’S CHOICE LLC, a U.S. limited liability company. References in this Policy to “Pulse and Purpose” refer to APRIL’S CHOICE LLC operating under the Pulse and Purpose brand.
By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Scope
As of the date above, the Site is primarily an informational website. We do not currently offer customer accounts, payment processing, or AI-powered features through the Site. This Policy describes how we treat information today and how we intend to treat information when additional features become available in the Services.
Individual products may have their own privacy policies that provide product-specific detail and control for those products. For example, our iOS app PhotoToGo — which runs entirely on-device and collects nothing — is covered by the PhotoToGo Privacy Policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you choose to send us
If you email us (for example, at hello@pulseandpurpose.net), we receive whatever information you include, such as your email address and the contents of your message.
Automatic information
Our hosting and content-delivery providers may automatically log technical information when you visit the Site, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, and timestamps. This information is used to operate the Site, maintain security, and prevent abuse.
Third-party resources on the Site
The Site loads web fonts from a third-party content-delivery network, which receives a request from your browser (including your IP address) when you visit. Use of those resources is governed by the relevant third party’s privacy practices. As of the date of this Policy, the Site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
Information collected if and when we launch additional Services
If and when we offer accounts, paid products, or AI-powered features, we may also collect:
- Account information you provide (such as name and email address);
- Payment information handled by a third-party payment processor (we do not intend to store full payment card numbers on our own servers);
- AI Inputs and AI Outputs — the prompts, files, or other content you submit to AI features (“AI Inputs”) and the responses returned to you (“AI Outputs”).
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and Services;
- Respond to your messages and inquiries;
- Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with applicable legal obligations;
- With your consent, send you product updates or other communications — you can opt out at any time.
We do not sell your personal information as the term “sell” is defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws, and we do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or for any third party’s independent marketing purposes.
4. AI-specific practices
Where our Services use artificial intelligence:
- Third-party AI providers. We may use third-party AI service providers to process AI Inputs and generate AI Outputs. Those providers handle your information under their own privacy and data-processing terms. Where providers offer configurations that limit retention or use of customer data for their own model training, we aim to use such configurations where reasonably available.
- No training on user content. We do not use your AI Inputs or AI Outputs to train our own publicly available foundation models.
- Output limitations. AI Outputs are generated probabilistically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date. AI Outputs are not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise) and should not be relied on in place of qualified professional judgment.
- Sensitive information. Please avoid submitting highly sensitive information (such as government identification numbers, health records, or full financial account numbers) as AI Inputs unless a specific feature documents that such use is appropriate.
5. Sharing
We share information only:
- With service providers (hosting, infrastructure, payment processing, AI providers, customer support) who help us operate the Site or Services, under contracts requiring them to protect your information;
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pulse and Purpose, our users, or the public;
- In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business;
- With your consent.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site currently uses only technical resources necessary to render the page (such as HTML, CSS, and externally hosted web fonts). We do not currently set analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If we add such technologies in the future, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required by applicable law.
7. Data retention
We retain information only as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Data security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the rights to access, correct, delete, object to or restrict processing, port your information, and opt out of marketing communications.
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA / CPRA, including the right to know and the right to delete.
EU / UK residents may have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, email us at hello@pulseandpurpose.net. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
10. Children’s privacy
The Site and Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. International transfers
We operate from the United States. If you access the Site or Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. By using the Site or Services, you consent to such transfers.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or, where applicable, by email.
