TidyTidy Privacy Policy

- TidyTidy runs entirely on your iPhone.
- Your photos never leave your device through TidyTidy.
- No accounts, ads, analytics, or third-party trackers.
- We don’t run servers. The one thing the App ever stores off your device is an invite code, and only if you use the invite feature (see section 4).
- Payments are handled entirely by Apple.
This Privacy Policy describes how TidyTidy (“the App”) handles information. TidyTidy is published by Pulse and Purpose, a registered DBA of APRIL’S CHOICE LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy is specific to the TidyTidy iOS app; our general website privacy practices are described in our site Privacy Policy.
1. The short version
TidyTidy runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, upload, sell, or share your photos, usage data, or personal data. There are no user accounts, advertising, analytics, or ad trackers. Your photo library never leaves your iPhone through TidyTidy. The single exception to “nothing leaves your device” is the optional invite feature, which stores an invite code in iCloud — never a photo — and is described in section 4.
2. What the App accesses
Your photo library (with your permission). When you grant Photos access, TidyTidy reads your photos and their thumbnails through Apple’s PhotoKit so you can review, favorite, organize into albums, and delete them. The iOS Photos app remains the source of truth: deletions go to Recently Deleted (recoverable for 30 days), and favorites are mirrored as Apple Favorites. You can change or revoke this access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → TidyTidy.
3. What the App stores
All of the following is stored only on your device (in the app’s local storage). We do not operate servers; the only off-device record the App ever creates is the invite code in section 4.
- Your review decisions (which photos you kept, favorited, organized, queued for deletion, or bookmarked);
- Your settings (appearance, language preference) and your lifetime activity totals.
You can clear this at any time with Settings → Reset review progress, or by deleting the App.
4. Invite codes (optional)
TidyTidy lets you invite friends. Your invite code is a random 8-character string generated on your device. When you open the invite screen, or when a friend enters your code after installing the App, TidyTidy stores a small record in the App’s Apple iCloud (CloudKit) public database: the invite code and Apple’s anonymous, app-specific account identifier (the CloudKit “user record ID”). That is all it contains — no photos, no names, no email address, nothing about your library or how you use the App. It exists so the person who sent the invite receives their bonus credits and so each Apple Account can use an invite code once. Writing this record requires being signed in to iCloud on the device; the person who uses a code receives nothing.
Because we can read these records in Apple’s CloudKit console, the App’s App Store privacy label lists Identifiers (User ID) — not linked to you, not used for tracking. If you never open the invite screen and never enter a code, no such record is created. To have your record removed, email hello@pulseandpurpose.net with your invite code.
5. What we do not do
- We do not run servers of our own, and TidyTidy does not send us analytics or usage data. The invite record above is stored with Apple, and is the only thing the App stores off your device.
- We do not use advertising identifiers, ad networks, analytics SDKs, or cross-app trackers, and we never build a personal profile of you.
- We do not require an account or collect your name, email, contacts, or location. (Photo metadata such as a capture date or place shown in the App is read on-device. Resolving a place name to display it uses Apple’s location services and is never sent to us or to any third-party tracker.)
- We do not sell or share any data with anyone.
6. No analytics or tracking
TidyTidy does not collect analytics or usage data. It does not send app launches, organizing actions, photo counts, device identifiers, or advertising identifiers to us or to an analytics provider.
7. Subscriptions and Apple
TidyTidy offers optional auto-renewing Plus and Unlimited subscriptions with monthly and yearly billing options. All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never receive your payment details. Subscription status is verified on your device via Apple’s StoreKit. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
8. Optional feedback
If you choose to email us at hello@pulseandpurpose.net, we will receive the message you send and your email address, and we use them only to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list.
9. Children’s privacy
TidyTidy is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone.
10. Your controls
Because everything is on-device, you are in full control: manage Photos access in iOS Settings, manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, and remove all app data by deleting the App.
11. Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy we will update the date above and post the new version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
