How do you play?
Sing one steady note and hold it. The higher the note, the farther your animal jumps. Land on the next island and keep going — see how far you can get. That’s the whole game, and the quickest way to learn it is to try it.
The animal doesn’t jump when I sing
Three things fix almost every case: make sure microphone access is allowed (iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Lala Jump), try a quieter room — background noise can drown out a quiet voice — and sing one steady note rather than a word or a phrase. Holding the note for about a second is what makes the jump happen.
Which singing range should I pick?
Low notes (C3–C4) and High notes (C4–C5) are the same notes, one octave apart. Pick the one you can sing comfortably: lower voices usually suit Low notes, higher voices High notes. On the setup screen, tap either card to hear its starting note, and choose the one that’s easy to match.
What is Practice?
Tap Practice at the bottom of the Home screen. Tap a note on the ruler to hear it and watch your animal show the jump, then sing and hold that note to try it yourself. If you miss, you’ll be told to go a little higher or a little lower. Practice doesn’t count toward your scores. Without microphone access you can still tap notes to hear them.
What does a Hint do?
A Hint shows the note the current gap is asking for — the ruler appears with the target marked, and a button plays the note out loud. Each run starts with three, and you earn another every ten islands.
What is a second chance?
From island 20 onward you earn a second chance every twenty islands. If a jump misses while you hold one, it is spent automatically and the animal goes back to try that island again, keeping the run alive.
What is the difference between Easy and Hard?
Easy gives a wider landing zone — visibly wider islands — and asks only for the seven natural notes. Hard asks for more precision and includes the half steps (like do♯) from the start. From island 101, a run started on Easy continues on Hard.
How does Game Center work?
You don’t need Game Center to play or to keep your records. If you’re already signed in to Game Center on your iPhone, Lala Jump connects by itself when it opens. If you’re not, it won’t ask: to sign in, open Settings (the ☰ button on the Home screen) and tap Game Center. If Apple’s sign-in doesn’t appear, sign in under iOS Settings → Game Center and come back to Lala Jump — it connects on its own.
When you’re connected, tap Leaderboards at the bottom of the Home screen (it says Scores at the largest text sizes) to see Apple’s leaderboards; when you’re not, the same button opens Settings. Each finished run’s island count goes to the Easy or Hard leaderboard, by the difficulty the run started on, and your Game Center name and photo appear on your result card. Game Center is run by Apple, and your scores there are managed by Apple. To disconnect, sign out of Game Center in iOS Settings.
Is my singing recorded?
No. Your voice is analysed on the iPhone, in the moment, to find the pitch — and that’s all. Nothing is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How do I start my records over?
Open Settings (the ☰ button on the Home screen) and choose Clear records. This removes your best scores, each animal’s best, and your recent runs from this iPhone. Scores already sent to Game Center are kept by Apple, and no app can delete them. Your records in the App belong to this iPhone; Game Center does not bring them back.
Which animals can I play?
Four: the lamb, the monkey, the chick, and the meerkat. Swipe on the Home screen to choose. Each one has its own world and keeps its own best on Easy and Hard.
